First Week of February 2018 Reading Plans

Hello, friends. Welcome to my first week of 2018’s February reading plans. I am going to make more of an effort to read things that do not 100% fit the prompts I am using. I want to experience my TBR shelves, and not rely on the library. Anxiety is a thing in my life that I need to keep in mind. Let’s see what my reading plans are going to be.

A past goodreads choice awards winner

According to this listLandline by Rainbow Rowell was once a winner of the Goodreads Choice Awards. It’s chilling on my shelves, waiting to be read. I believe it is the last Rainbow Rowell book that is unread for me.

a book involving a heist

Another list here shares that The Kiss of Deception involves a heist. I have been putting off reading this series for no reason at all other than being timid around the length of the latter books.

a book about death or grief

Listen, I know it is a stretch that no one could see coming. I am reading Grace Mercy by Robin LaFevers for this one. It involves assassins who happen to be nuns.

A book set in a country that fascinates you

Soulless  by Gail Carriger is set in Victorian England, which is exactly what I love to read. It’s going to a ton of fun. I just need to buckle down and enjoy the ride. I was lucky enough to have Gail Carriger follow me on Twitter. In short, I am thrilled to try her work and possibly become a total fangirl. I am already in love with the tone of the summary on the back of the book.

I don’t want to overwhelm myself with too many options. Therefore, this list will have to suffice for now.My hope is to give each book a nice chance. A lot of these books I failed to read before even though I had other challenges prompting me to read them. So, I am treading lightly.

As this is the Saturday of the second week of March 2018, it is time
March is upon us, and thus it is time to share my reading plans for
