July Week 3 TBR Pile

Hey there, so we’re starting out with the third week of July. I wanted to set some TBR goals here, to guide my reading schedule for the week. Ready? Let’s go.

The Vanishing Throne by Elizabeth May
I have feelings about this series. My hopes for the sequel are so high, it’s kind of scary. My hope is that this one doesn’t end on a cliffhanger too, because I don’t have the final book yet! (!!!)

The Exiled Queen by Cinda Williams Chima
Look, I got a bit swept up in the Falconer book, but I am finishing up the first book in this series too, The Demon King. Definitely curious to see what happens next.

Also, the names remind me of Star Wars. Just an FYI.

The Elite by Keira Cass
My copy of this book finally came in the mail, so I am ready to see what happens next. The first book was a nice relaxing experience. I hope this one continues to be pure fluff with a dash of angst.

The Wall of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson
I have been hearing some negative things about Sanderson and homophobia, which leads me to hesitate to continue with this book. Still, I am curious to see what happens next in the story. Just unsure of how to handle this author. Lots of muddled information.

Standalone Novels

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
It’s time for me to read a book by this author. I heard great things about this story, and I’d like to make my way through the author’s work thus far.

Uprooted by Naomi Novak
I’ll try to finish this book up this week. I was quite close to finishing it and then stopped.

Your Turn

What’s on your TBR for this week? Are you excited for certain things you’ll be reading? Please share in the comments; I’d love to hear about your TBR.
