This is my first time participating in T5Wed (Top 5 Wednesday, but I’m abbreviating to maintain short titles).

Here is a link to the group.

5. Uprooted

I’d like to be the Dragon, please and thank you. I’m not done with this book, but I want to be him or Neishka. Or both. Their job sounds awful and amazing. I’d enjoy it though.

4. Darker Shade of Magic
Kell

Can you imagine traveling between different universes of the same town? Kell, I’d be better at your job, because I wouldn’t steal trinkets. My conscience wouldn’t allow me to do that.
Plus, I get to have a cool coat. Also: Rhy, Holland, and Lila. Enough said.

3. Demon Summoner in Demon’s Lexicon trilogy

What demon summoners do is draw circles, eat this fruit that makes you kind of feverish, and then dance to summon the demons. I like dancing and I am a fan of food. As long as the demons don’t trick me, I should be okay.

2. Lost Boy in Peter Pan

Growing up is overrated. While I am afraid of heights, I’d want to hang out with Peter and the rest of the gang forever. I’d never get sick of them, honestly. Also: I don’t like Wendy Darling. So, my goal would be to tell Peter not to go to her home.

1. Cheshire Cat or anyone in Alice in Wonderland

I would enjoy being a jerk to people visiting my town. It’s the ultimate goal to be clever and charming, all while rhyming. Excellent job to aim for.

  1. Mmm. If you read the review I posted for Peter Pan a few weeks ago, you’d understand why I absolutely would NOT EVER want to be a Lost Boy. I legitimately think Peter Pan is a terrifying character and Neverland is a terrifying place. I’m sure the movie version is nicer though, so you’ll probably be safe there. Bring some weapons just in case 😛 Also, I kind of hated Alice in Wonderland, so I feel like I just wouldn’t want to be anything in that book for that reason lol, but the Cheshire cat is definitely the best character in the book and the movie, so good choice. And lol to wanting to be a dragon. And to wanting to be a demon summoner for the food and dancing. I think I’ll pass on anything that involves demons though, haha.

    1. Oh, no, no. The Dragon is a person. He’s just called the Dragon. And, I love him because he’s a magician but he is very grumpy about his existence. I have to check out that review on Peter Pan! Very curious to read your perspective. I was not really thinking of the movies based on Peter Pan. I actually like the Lost Boys. It’s just Wendy, man. I don’t like her. Or Tinkerbell. Will bring pepper spray or something. I, too, didn’t like Alice in Wonderland the first time I read it. But, its quite witty. I am a fan of people/creatures who are rather clever, so it’s mostly selfish reasons for me to exist in that world.

  2. Omggg I WANT ALL OF THESE JOBS TOO. Particularly Kell’s…I would totally steal stuff though.? And probably end up with a stabby sidekick thief, let’s be real here. Ooooor I would definitely like to be a dragon or never grow up or BOTH. So basically this is the most epic career aspirations list I’ve ever seen.?

  3. I mean, if you need someone to steal the trinkets FOR you, so you can fulfill your character requirement, I’m your girl 😉 These sound FUN. I like them all. The Cheshire Cat sounds like the best I think- well okay, maybe second to Kell- but with THAT job I get to lay around and be snarky, and who doesn’t love that!?
