I saw this lovely tag on Of Wonderland, so I thought I’d share it on here, too. By the way, you should visit that website, because #aesthetics. Plus, these ladies who run that site create great content. And, I like them.

The Vanishing Throne by Elizabeth May
The Selection by Kiera Cass
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
SPOILERS OR SPOILER FREE?
I try to be spoiler-free, but I am really bad at this. In general, I seek out spoilers to help me with anxiety.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BOOK BLOGGING?
A year. I have been trying to find my place on the Interwebs for a while. I started out writing angry posts about my mental illness, though.
A BOOK YOU READ IN ONE SITTING?
A Monster Calls. These things never happen to me, you see. I am a painfully slow reader, and I struggle to stay focused. A lot of the Harry Potter books were also one-sitting reads, but that was years ago. (Speaking of which, I need to reread those books again).
YOUR FAVORITE GENRE?
Urban fantasy! I like a middle ground between fantasy and a familiar setting. Lately, high fantasy has been something I am exploring.
PREFERRED BOOK SIZE? (NOVELLA, TOME…ETC.)
Regular shaped novels are my favorite. Part of the reading experience for me is dependent on my sense of accomplishment. Tomes can be daunting. Plus, they drag quite a bit. Info dumpy and a little unnecessary in its length. However, I am trying to keep an open mind. Maybe I just haven’t my own tome yet.
AMOUNT OF BOOKS ON YOUR TBR?
At least 150-200. TBR is just book on my shelves, too! The exciting part is that I have lots of options for a long time.
A BOOK YOU HAVE DNF’D?
Funnily enough, I haven’t DNF’s a book in so long. I disliked The School for Good and Evil quite a bit, but I finished that darn book while seething.
RECENT AWARDS OR MILESTONES?
I have vegan/plant based for about 9 years. Yet, I had taken a hit with occasionally binging on cheese when feeling destructive in more recent years. It’s been two months since I last got to this point! Been wearing my hijab for almost two years.
BEST INTERACTION WITH AN AUTHOR YOU ENJOY?
Hmm. Cinda Williams Chima was helping me figure out what to read from her books first. I liked that interaction. Anna Marie McLemore and I talked about our hair (have you seen her hair? So pretty).
AVERAGE NUMBER OF BOOKS YOU READ PER MONTH?
6-7, I think? I normally don’t track my reading, and I am very new to reading regularly. So…this is just an estimate.
TOP THREE PUBLISHERS?
I don’t really know? I haven’t interacted
SOCIAL MEDIA SITES YOUR BLOG USES?
My blog uses? I use Twitter.
AVERAGE AMOUNT OF TIME YOU SPEND NETWORKING?
Honestly, I am trying not to spend so much time on social media. At least an hour or so per day, I communicate with people on Twitter.
MOST COMFORTABLE BLOGGING POSITION?
Sitting, in bed.
MUSIC OR QUIET WHEN WRITING REVIEWS?
There are certain songs that go with books. It always changes, depending on what I’m writing.
CAN YOU SUM UP YOUR BLOGGING STYLE IN 5 WORDS?
Honest, raw, ambitious, muddied with metaphors.
A BLOG YOU LOOKED UP TO STARTING OUT?
When I started considering book blogging, I had gone to Goodreads in the hopes of meeting people to guide me. Inge and her blog stood out. She has introduced me to so many lovely bloggers. Ely’s spot on the Internet was a standout as well.
THE BEST BOOK YOU HAVE REVIEWED SO FAR?
Uh. That is not fair. A Conjuring of Light and The Falconer.
BEST PIECE OF BLOGGING ADVICE?
Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.
