WWU: Feb Weekly Wrap Up

Here is my week 3  of February, all wrapped up. I am kind of loving these wrap ups. I hope you are enjoying them, too. They are a nice way to keep me motivated.

I participated in a readathon called Because Dragons. Here are the books that were on my TBR for the week.

When the Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore  (Review)

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh (I am literally sighing. I want to read it. Hopefully in March, I will).

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E Schwab

Eon by Alison Goodman  (Nope! That book is huge and I was intimidated)

 

GOALS:

-Get halfway through my novel

(I will work on it in March. Maybe won’t get to the halfway point yet, but I definitely feel more determined to put in the work for my novel). 

Start exercising daily (walks maybe?)

(I kind of started walking exercises. Not every day. But, multiple times per week.) 

Photography

Read and journal every day

(Yes to the reading. No, to the journal and meditation practice. Time management needs some tweaking.) 

-Integrate creative writing into the blog/Twitter

(Nope. I have a lot of anxiety about my worth as a person, and so I worry a lot about occupying space in the world as a writer. I feel like my voice is good enough, not clever enough, not unique enough, and it shows. I will write more, though. Maybe then, I can develop some courage). 

Overall: Goodbye, February

I was more active in this month than I have been in years. My focus was better, and I was able to study some languages on my own. I felt good about myself, for a little bit. Then, I started to falter. The trick for me is to find the strength in me, and only me, to carry on when faced with criticism and negative opinions.

I’m looking forward to the next month: one week at a time. Keep an eye out for my readathons’ TBRs. I have a few things lined up.

  1. Wrap up posts are fun 🙂 I’m sorry you struggled with some stuff, but it sounds like you’re figuring out what works for you and finding your strength. Sharing writing is hard though, for everyone! Well, maybe not everyone lol, but most people. I shared a short story on my blog last year and was completely anxious about it even though it wasn’t like it was a big deal. I’m pretty sure only like three people read it, but hey, at least I conquered a fear and shared it! But it took me months to finally do it. Gave me more respect for authors lol. I’m sure you’ll summon up the courage eventually, and when you do it’ll make you feel great 🙂

  2. Walking is a great way to start exercising. And you can build that up slowly.

    If you don’t feel ready to share your writing then let it be for a bit. Try it again in a few weeks/months. No reason for it to cause you extra anxiety. <3 But don't ever tell yourself your voice isn't good enough because it is.
